Harriet Tilbrook

Hi, I’m Harriet! I’m a Speech Pathologist who absolutely loves working with children. I have a strong passion for paediatric Speech Pathology and its ability to have a positive and meaningful impact on children’s lives…

As someone who saw a Speech Pathologist at an early age, I have experienced firsthand the importance of making therapy sessions as fun as they are functional. I thrive on making sessions engaging, integrating children’s strengths and interests to make speech therapy an enjoyable experience for everyone. I am passionate about implementing goal-directed, evidence-based therapy in a friendly and family-centred way that is individualised and meaningful to clients. I believe this is key in helping children reach their full, communicative potential.

I completed my Bachelor of Speech, Hearing, and Language Sciences at Macquarie University, followed by my Masters of Speech Pathology at The University of Sydney. I am a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and am committed to continually expanding my knowledge and learning through ongoing professional development. I am certified in ‘Hanen; It Takes Two to Talk’ and am trained in the Lidcombe Program for stuttering. I am certified in the Sounds-Write Literacy Program and have completed an introductory course to DIRFloortime. Whilst I am passionate in all areas of Speech Pathology, I am particularly enthusiastic about speech sound disorders, early intervention, and literacy.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll either find me at the beach, walking my two Flat-Coated Retrievers; Wellington and Rupert, finding a new weekend brunch spot, or playing a good game of Bananagrams with my family!
