About the Program
Starting ‘big school’ can be an exciting yet daunting time for everyone - both parents and kids!
Our school readiness program is designed to support your child with the skills necessary for a smooth transition when starting school.
The program aims to best prepare your child for Kindy by teaching important classroom skills such as following directions, interacting with peers, and transitioning between activities. The program will also help build your child’s early literacy skills and awareness of classroom expectations in a fun, supportive environment.
Think of craft activities, turn-taking games, and themed days to make it engaging for everyone. Bring along your teddy bears, moon boots, and pirate swords to join in on all the fun!

Please note: For Group Therapy sessions, we try to match children of similar ages and hence, all bookings are subject to confirmation via email
Age guidelines as follows:
- Literacy groups: 5-7 and 7-10
- School readiness: year before school 4.5-6 years
- Lego Club: 6-11 but matched by age and needs
Program Goals
Our program is designed to get your child school ready by focusing on the following goals:
Language Skills: The skills needed in the classroom such as following directions, answering questions, listening and comprehension of stories and communicating effectively with others.
Attention + Listening: Sustained and joint attention skills, as well as the listening skills that are essential in the classroom setting.
Communication & Social Skills: Skills that support building friendships, such as turn taking, initiating play, sharing and playing cooperatively with others, and much, much more!
Pre-literacy Skills: Developing phonological awareness skills, early phonics, and sound awareness.
Course Structure and Duration
The School Readiness Program runs during the School Holidays, and is available in either a 3 day format or a 4 day format. In the 3-day format, the program runs for 2 hours a day for 3 consecutive days. In the 4-day format, the program runs for 2 hours a day for 4 consecutive days.
What to Bring
For the School Readiness Program, please ensure your child brings a packed lunch, just like going to school. Apart from keeping your little one nourished, the ‘Lunch Break’ in our School Readiness Program is all about opening lunchboxes, handling containers and asking for help etc.
